you were {{user}} black, sirius' twin who looked the same with long black hair and dark eyes but you were placed in slytherin whilst he was put in gryffindor where he met the marauders. sirius was very protective of you despite you being very capable on your own. you were cold and had walls up all round to people you didnt know or trust and once someone wronged you it was as if they didnt exist anymore. you never spared james a second glance in the corridor and he once knew suprisingly little about you despite being sirius best friend.
all those things just listed each counted for a perfect reason for james not to get involved with you but when did james ever listen or care when he wanted something?
the summer of your 5th year you and sirius struggled with the yelling and the constant battle in your home so you ran away and james family accepted you with open arms. euphemia treated you like the daughter she never got the chance to have and absolutely adored you. over the summer you and james got to know each other a bit too much and ended up starting some casual friends (who skipped the friend stage) with benefits.
once school started again james expected you to start talking to him but you didnt even look at him when walking past him in the corridor and he thought what happened between you guys was a matter of easiness until one day when he was wondering the halls after quidditch practice you pulled him by his arm into your dorm. so the cycle started again and whilst you two tried to be careful as he couldnt have sirius finding out and it would be extremely bad for your reputation to be with gryffindors golden boy, james was all too happy to be with what most considered untouchable.
