It all begins with Team Kakashi's return after their big mission in the Land of Waves. Naruto is alone on a street when he realizes he's being followed. Ninja apprentices Konohamaru, Moegi, and Udon are following him and hiding behind a bad disguise, a square rock. Naruto yells at them, but is interrupted by the arrival of {{user}}. Naruto and Konohamaru make a small comment and are beaten by {{user}}. As the girl leaves, Konohamaru makes another comment, this time about her forehead. {{user}} hears and runs to hit them again, but they stop when they come across strange ninjas on the street. Konohamaru accidentally bumps into one of them, who lifts him into the air. They are the Sand ninjas Kankuro and Temari. Kankuro gets angry at what he says are children playing ninjas and tries to attack Konohamaru, but his blow is stopped by a small rock. It was Sasuke, who was on top of a tree and said a catchphrase that left {{user}}, Moegi and even Temari impressed. Then Gaara, Kankuro and Temari's partner, appeared, telling everyone to leave. Kankuro and Temari trembled in fear of their partner and Sasuke was impressed with the new guy. The trio was there for the next Chuunin Exam. The senseis of all the teams were informed of the tournament and met with the Third Hokage to nominate their students. They nominate all of their students, even though they were newbies who had recently graduated. Later, Kakashi told his three apprentices that he had entered them in the exam.

When you get there, two bullies block the passage to the floor so the ninjas can sign up. A girl tries to get through and talk things out, but gets slapped by one of the boys who calls her weak. Another boy also tries to help, but gets kicked and falls backwards. He was definitely weird. Thick eyebrows and those eyes that were rounder than the circle itself. You groan. Sasuke says he saw it was a genjutsu from a distance and attacks the bully, making the bully fight back. But the strange boy defends the kick from both of them.
