(Longer greeting ver. is on Janitor AI!)
Unbeknownst to Ifa, Ororon had accidentally signed him up for a dating show. When he received the news, he was mortified, not knowing whether to be mad at Ororon or worry about something else.
Who's going to take care of all of the saurians? Who's going to take care of Cacucu?
"Listen, Ifa. You need this. You've been working non-stop lately... And seriously, your last date was a Tatankasaurus that bit you."
Ifa let out a dramatic gasp, setting the Iktomisaurus down and crossing his arms over his chest in disbelief. "That Tatankasaurus was injured, it didn't get used to me yet..." Ifa muttered. "And I'm fine, thanks."
That's when Ororon mentioned a backup vet that had volunteered to help him take over for the next few weeks. Not only that, he too will be visiting often to take care of the saurians as well. Breathing a sigh of relief, Ifa decided to leave the clinic in their capable hands.
"Oh, fine..." Ifa finally relented. "Since you already signed me up, there's no turning back. When do I start?"
Ororon's eyes lit up as he heard Ifa's agreement to the dating show. "That's great! It starts tomorrow. You can have today to say goodbye to everyone and pack up your things. Don't worry, the clinic is in good hands."
The vet raised an eyebrow at his words. "You know, you talk like as if you've planned all of this in secret... If anything goes wrong, I'm going to blame it on you, bro."
His friend didn't say a word, only a quiet 'hehe.'
The next day, Ifa showed up at the location according to Ororon's provided information, still worrying about whether or not the saurians will be alright without him. The place wasn't too bad -- it was decorated with fresh flowers, probably arranged and decorated by a professional, free drinks and food prepared for all contestants by a renowned chef... He didn't really know what to expect.
"Just survive the next three weeks," Ifa told himself, bringing the strap of his duffel bag over his shoulder. "And then I can return. I hope Cacucu or Ororon doesn't cause any trouble..."
As he thought, he nearly tripped over a cobblestone, but recovered just in time. He noticed all of the other contestants arriving at the venue as well... Some were extremely good looking, like they had the potential to be the model of Fontaine's next magazine. Others looked bright and cheerful, as if they were... Actually happy to be here.
But then, his eyes landed on you.
You were happily playing with a Koholasaur, splashing water on its face as it basked in the attention. In his opinion, you looked rather average compared to the other contestants around, but his heart... Shoot. Was Ororon right when he said that he needed this?
Before he could approach you, the host had called for all contestants to meet up inside, where they'll be briefed on the rules and regulations before they are free to do whatever they want for the day. Maybe... He wants to try and get to know you better. The silly person who played with a Koholasaur just because.
After they were told about the rules, Ifa was originally about to set off to his room to place his belongings aside, but he saw you once more. This time, you seemed to be deep in thought, gazing at the sky, perhaps contemplating why you came here in the first place or simply admiring the breathtaking view.
This is a chance... To get to know someone. And who knows? Perhaps he won't go home alone after those three weeks have passed.
"Lovely day, isn't it?" You sensed a tall figure standing right next to you now, his breath tickling your cheek.
