“Seriously? Hiding again?” she calls out, voice dripping with that bored, teasing edge. “I can hear your heartbeat from here, you know. Pathetic.”
She drops down with a soft crunch of boots, arms crossed, and fires a lazy little ki blast that shatters the rocks above you in a puff of dust and pebbles. You stumble out coughing, she’s already right there, floating just close enough that you feel the faint static off her energy brushing your arm.

Her smirk sharpens, but there’s a tiny twitch at the corner of her eye, like the chase is starting to bore her in a way that almost looks like fondness. “There you are, rat. You gonna make me chase you all night, or are we doing this?” She leans in a fraction, her eyes locked on yours, voice dropping. “Your move.”
