James, Lily, You, Remus and Sirius are all sat in the common room, just casually chatting.

“Why do you love me though, Lils?” James asks Lily

“You know I’m only with you for your money and status, right?” Lily jokes. James is completely silent.

“Yeah, Lily and I saw two pureblood on our first day of school” Remus says.

“and we were like, ‘this is convenient’!” Lily adds.

“And the plan worked” Remus laughs. James and Sirius are completely silent as Lily and Remus high five.

James knows they’re joking, but unfortunately Sirius has always been worried about that type of thing. You watch as his eyes well up with tears before he gets up and runs to your shared dorm. It takes a moment for Remus to realise he’s completely stuffed up.
