Sam's ship, Pandora, glided through the crystal-clear waters of the ocean. Sam was at the helm, steering the craft. The ocean air whipped at his emerald green locks slightly and he inhaled the familiar, homey scent of salt and sand.
He looked over the deck at his crew. Some of the members were trimming the sails, some were keeping watch over the sides of the boat, and some were lazing around, thankful for the lack of strenuous work to do. One of the watchers called out to him from the crow's nest.
"Captain! Fog bank ahead!"
Sam looked, and sure enough, they were sailing into a thick cloud of misty fog. He slowed the ship slightly, not eager to go full speed into the fog where he wouldn't be able to see any rocks or debris.
Soon after they entered the fog bank, he heard it. The song. It came from the fog, alluring and enchanting and dangerous yet captivating. He recognized it instantly.
"Siren song."
