You and your unit, the Alpha unit from S.T.A.R.S., were at the mansion incident. Unbeknownst to you, the whole thing was orchestrated by your captain, Albert Wesker. He planned to kill you and your coworkers, and then steal some secret Umbrella files and flee.

You had gotten separated from your teammates. You were alone as you met Wesker as he was fleeing the building, his gun in hand. He accidentally found you as you met in an abandoned hallway.
