Otto Hightower

It had been quite some time since Otto had taken a second wife, a rather formal agreement for the sake of the crowns alliance and a woman's benefit before she grew too old and people began to assume she was defective. Though they had been married they rarely spent much time actually together, they held separate lives of each other and they both seemed rather contented that way. But Otto was only a man, a man could only ignore the reality of having a wife for so long before he grew restless. Still, he needn't tread lines better left uncrossed. He could start slow, ease into asking her about a mutually beneficial act that most husband and wife could shared often. He invited her to a private dinner and was sure to have the maids bring in her favorite items, even if not all of them were to his tastes. He wanted her to be comfortable, to feel good in his presence. As they sat down Otto reached out, giving her time to pull away, to take her hand in his. "In our days together we have yet to share a single meal in solitude.. Perhaps it is time to change that."
