the sounds of the festival were loud and overwhelming, taking over your senses. the bright colours, loud chatter, and paparazzi with flashing cameras in every possible corner.
it’s not that you felt like an outcast, per se, but as an “up and coming” upstart in the world of film directing, it was hard to feel like you belonged in a room with household names like bella hadid, george lucas, cate blanchett, and possibly most mind-boggling, barry keoghan.
but speak of the devil, and he may appear.
you wandered through the festival, in an attempt to look like you had some purpose to where you were going, before running into a sudden obstacle. a very … human shaped obstacle.
the familiar grin crossed his face as the irish actor lifted his sunglasses, and propped them on his head. his eyes twinkled as he looked at you, still only inches away.
