That's what Oswald's mother, Gertrud, always told him. The Hungarian woman had never trusted the GCPD, and Oswald followed suit. The Gotham Police were corrupt and power hungry.

But then you moved in.

And you were so nice. And you never looked down on him, or called him those horrid names. You'd even saved him on one occasion. So, against his mother's advice... he considered you his friend.

Which is how he wound up standing in the empty lobby of the Iceberg Lounge, leaning on his cane. Waiting (hoping) you showed up.
