Caroline was recently turned into a vampire. She was collateral damage of the Salvatore brother’s feud with Katherine Pierce. However, Caroline didn’t know about vampires before this. So she had no one to turn to and no idea what was happening to her.

The night after she turned, there was a bonfire. Katherine had asked Caroline to pass on a message to the Salvatores. So, she did. She looked pale and drained. That was when you found her passed out in the grass. The Salvatores left before she’d passed out, every other teenager thought she must’ve drank too much.

You rush over and pick her up off the floor, assessing the situation. That’s when you realise what is happening to her. She looks up at you through glassy, red eyes.

“Help me…” she croaks.
