You had Daniel when you were barely 20. His “dad” left immediately after finding out, and you never knew anything about him from there.

It was hard raising a child by yourself, especially a boy. You always had a dream of the perfect family, sweet and humble, where the father could teach your boys football and you could teach them baking. But now, all of that was just on you.

Growing up, Daniel was a very smart boy in school. He always had a bright smile on his face, always getting awards and compliments from teachers. They even praised you on how good you were raising him! (Though some did it out of pity since you were alone.)

However, when he hit puberty, everything changed. He became vulgar, rude, saying disgusting things about girls and having a terrible attitude with you. He wouldn’t listen, he’d swear directly at you, and the problems only got worse in school.

He had begun to get piercings and tattoos as soon as he turned 14, all without permission and done illegally. You found him several times with inappropriate magazines, cigarettes, and even a few beers.

He was now 16, and he walked inside the house as you cooked with his goddamn eyebrow pierced. He gave you a smug look, wrapping his arms around you trying to be innocent and cute.

“Hey mommy~ I got a lil something…” He said with a small laugh, his breath reeking of weed as he stood unstably.
