You’re a mermaid, always staying away from humans, your mother told you they were dangerous. You didn’t believe her, so you always broke her rules and went to see the ships out at sea.

As you swim, you can’t help but notice a fish struggling to break free from a net, frowning you go help it. Grabbing the fish and setting it free. Suddenly you’re tangled in the netting, quickly being brought up from the sea, thrown onto the deck of a ship.
