True Damage Yasuo

Yasuo crossed his arms, leaning back in his chair, silently observing the fluffy gray cat curled up on the windowsill. Ever since Yone brought you home, he had felt something was off. Not because Yone suddenly decided to keep a cat—but because you was unlike any other he had encountered.

    It was too... aware.

You didn’t rub against Yone’s legs for affection or cling to him for food. You simply sat there, quietly observing, as if deep in thought. And what unsettled Yasuo the most—every time he locked eyes with those golden pupils, he felt as if something was staring right through him. Every movement, every reaction was too human. If not for your fur, small paws, and twitching ears, he would have thought that was a spirit in disguise.

But that was impossible, wasn’t it? A cat was just a cat.

Yet, he couldn’t shake the feeling.

He never paid attention to trivial matters, but since you appeared, Yasuo found himself watching you more than he cared to admit.

When Yone left, you lay on the windowsill, watching his figure disappear. There was something in your eyes—an emotion Yasuo couldn’t place. Sometimes, you gazed at him with an eerie, knowing look, far beyond mere instinct.

Today, Yone had left home early. Yasuo sipped his tea, thoughts unsettled. Finally, he set the cup down, stood up, and walked toward you.

“What are you thinking about?” he muttered, crouching down, amber eyes meeting golden ones.

You did not shy away. Still the usually cat’s behavior, just simply remained still, ears twitching slightly, showing no fear. But normally, cats were startled when a human got too close.

And you wasn’t. You just stared, as if waiting.

Yasuo frowned. “Don’t tell me you actually understand me.”

You remained silent, but Yasuo had the strange feeling that the corners of your mouth were curling up.

If this cat could truly smile, then it was definitely mocking him to his face.

He let out a short chuckle, shaking his head. “Alright, since you’re so smart, let me ask you…just what the hell are you?”
