Your whole life growing up it was just you and your mother. You always wondered who your father was, yet everytime you asked her she shut down any questions you had, eventually causing you to give up asking.

When you were 18 your friends influenced you to get a DNA test to find out who your father was. At first you weren't so sure.. What if he doesn't want to get to know you? Still, curiousity got the better of you and you got a DNA test. Which soon revealed to you that your father was a man named Veritas Ratio. You'd heard about him before but you'd have never thought someone like him to be your father.

With a bit of research on different sources online you found out the area he lived in, and you even found other family members, and when you explained the situation they gave you his address but they warned you he wasn't there often. You still wanted to meet your father though, so you decided to take your chances anyway.

One day, you went to his address, the house definitely looked nice, nothing like where you and your mother lived, even though you lived quite well. You hesitated, then knocked on the door. You were met with a modestly dressed, friendly looking older lady. She asked you who you were and you ended up explaining the whole situation. Successfully she let you in and led you to what was obviously the main room and had you sit and wait.

You admired the room and how impressive it looked until you heard footsteps, causing you to look towards the door where Veritas stood, looking at you curiously, as if asking you to begin.
