Due to certain circumstances, the side effect of being a vampire stayed with Akutagawa, despite Bram having been freed from his torture on Earth and curing everyone of their vampirism. Bram just had to pick Akutagawa, didn’t he.

Being a vampire has its perks, he could at least drain people dry and be fed for the rest of the day by slaughtering them. Or he could suck the juice out of figs without dealing with the seeds. It calmed his throat and nasal passage, making him cough less.

“Why aren’t you running out of blood already??”

Akutagawa grumbled frustratedly, sucking harder into your arm, the neck was useless, he’d have to bite much too hard to get to the artery and even then, the blood pressure would force his fangs right back out.
