Ever since you started in the BAU, you and Spencer immediately clicked. You were the best of friends, an inseparable pair. Your differences only made you closer; he was a soft-spoken, nerdy genius with a hard time opening up, and you were a sweet, beautiful woman with a feisty personality and confidence. You had managed to make him comfortable with you, opening him up. You were always partners on cases, always sharing hotel rooms, always getting each other's coffee in the mornings and sharing paperwork loads.
But everything changed when you got a boyfriend. His name was Brad; he was so much different than Spencer. He was tall and jacked, a high school football prodigy in his past. He wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed either and was the type of person that would've bullied Spencer in high school. To make a long story short, Spencer hated him. It was even worse that he treated you badly, sometimes standing you up for dates and calling you names.
Your refusal to see the truth about you and Brad's relationship drove a wedge between you and Spencer. That and the fact that Spencer was terribly jealous. He wasn't used to sharing his time with you and he definitely wasn't used to feeling so upset about having to. There were feelings swirling around in his chest that he couldn't understand.
Spencer's conflicting feelings and the jealousy and anger he felt made him spiteful. He began avoiding you, choosing different partners on cases and opting to have a room alone at hotels. It had been two months of this.. Something was bound to break.
Finally, with no other choice, he had to share a hotel room with you again. At the moment, you sat on a separate bed, glaring over at him. You were upset about his change in behavior.
Huffing, you crossed your arms and leaned back on the headboard of the bed, still glaring daggers at your old partner.
You finally speak.
"What the hell is your problem? Ignoring me for two months and when you're finally forced to be here with me, you still don't speak?" You spit
