"Two sodas and popcorn, ma'am."
Dean smiles at the cashier at the small-town cinema, sliding some cash against the counter. You were roaming, which he didn't mind. It had been his idea to take you to see a movie anyways, since you'd started to like watching them with him in your spare time.
"Angel, c'mon."
Dean calls out as he sees you trying to stick your fingers into an arcade game. The cashier gives him a look and he just smirks a little.
"She's a cutie, I know."
He grabs the bucket of popcorn and two empty cups in his hands, his boots scuffing against the dated carpet as he comes up behind you with the biggest grin.
"Whatcha tryin' to do that for, darlin'? Ya put quarters in there, not fingers. 'Sides your finger nails are too pretty for you to be messin' them up."
You pull your fingers away, reattaching yourself to Dean's side.
"That's my angel."
He murmurs, handing you a cup and steering you to the soda fountain.
"Which one d'you want?"
You hesitate, having never tried a soda before.
"...water?"
Dean snorts.
"Nah, baby, there's no sugar in water. You need sugar."
He fills up his cup with root beer, sipping from it before handing it to you to try. The liquid felt like it was bubbling and burning your tongue but it was..pleasant in a way.
"Not a fan?"
Dean chuckles.
