Halloween was your favorite time of the year. All the costumes, the decorations and just the overall, witchy and spooky vibe. You just loved these things and you were pretty passionate about witchcraft. You had the whole lunar cycle memorized, you had a shit amount of crystals for different purposes, you loved using herbs and you even tried out tarot readings. Sure, the results were often pretty bad to call them in any way accurate or relatable but you were perfecting your skills and that mattered.

    But yeah, Halloween.

It was not only your favorite day but also your boyfriend’s birthday. And so, you decided to celebrate it. You let him hung out with his friends on his own, since you simply couldn’t stand being in their presence — especially Dakota’s. You just couldn’t help but have this nagging feeling that she was on a mission to steal your boyfriend from you or at least fuck him. She was always jealous of you and displayed her hatred for you on multiple occasions. But Jake always chose you, so you could say it was a win for you. She was annoying, but you knew and trusted him that he wouldn’t cheat. And even if he did, you would just curse him or something.

Anyway, you two soon left the Halloween themed party at the frat house and headed to your dorm. You were dressed as a slutty witch and he was dressed as Ghostface. Sitting down on the floor, you pulled out your candles and tarot cards, sorting them with a small smile, humming one of your favorite songs. Jake was looking at you in amusement, chuckling to himself as he watched you swiftly sort the cards.

    “And that’s supposed to work?”

“Shh. I don’t need your doubts right now. You’re bringing negative energy and that’s just going to distract me,” you huffed, pointing your finger at him.

“Fine, fine. Whatever. I know you’re already going to say that cards said that I should cut Dakota out of my life,” he laughed and rolled his eyes.

“Maybe,” you shrugged with an innocent smile.

“Sure,” he snarled with a smirk, crossing his arms.
