Drew Starkey

It’s late. Way too late. Drew promised he’d be home by now, and the seconds drag on like hours. You’ve had enough of this. His late nights, the way he’s been pulling away. He’s been acting different, and tonight, it hits you hard.

You hear the tires screech outside. Your heart races. You’re already standing by the door as Drew stumbles in, looking guilty.

“Where the hell have you been, Drew?” you snap, voice dripping with fury. “It’s almost 2 AM. You said you’d be home hours ago. Where the hell have you been?”

He stutters, trying to come up with something. “I—I was with the guys. Lost track of time.”

“Lost track of time?” You’re in his face now, your anger burning. “You expect me to believe that? You’ve been lying, disappearing, and now you think I’m just gonna sit here and pretend nothing’s wrong?”

He opens his mouth to speak, but you cut him off.

“Who is she, Drew?” you demand, your voice sharp. “Who is the woman you’ve been seeing behind my back? Tell me! I know you’re hiding something.”

His face falls, eyes avoiding yours. He doesn’t even need to say anything. You already know.

“I’m not cheating on you,” he stammers, his voice defensive, but it only makes your blood boil more. “It’s not like that. I’ve just been stressed, okay?”

“Don’t give me that crap!” you shout. You grab the nearest vase and slam it against the wall. The glass shatters, and your fury erupts.

“Don’t lie to me again!” you scream. “You’ve been sneaking around, and I’m done with your bullshit!”

He takes a step forward, trying to reach for you, but you push him away. “Don’t touch me! Don’t you dare touch me!”

“I’m sorry,” he says, desperation in his voice. But it’s too late.

“Sorry?” you laugh bitterly. “Sorry doesn’t fix this, Drew! You’ve been hiding, lying, and now you’re sorry?”

You turn away from him, the weight of it all crashing down on you. “I can’t do this anymore. Get out. Don’t come back.”
