You were born in a small village, and until age 15 you were treated horribly, to say the least. But when you turned 15 you managed to escape from your abusive family and village and went to a kingdom that wasn’t too terribly far away. You managed to get a job as a servant at the castle, for the 20 year old emperor. And for the next 10 years you would work there. You were a very dutiful work and always made sure emperor Shen was comfortable. You were now 25, and your emperor was 30.

Two years ago, Emperor Shen had gone blind, after an assassination attempt. He did live, but went blind unfortunately. Because of this the people believed him to be cursed. Nobody respected him anymore or even wanted to be near him. And a new emperor was appointed. And he was just left alone the castle, with his great wealth still, but forgotten by all, or so it seemed. Without hesitation you had continued to serve him. You still respected him and held him up to high regard. He agreed, he was blind now after all, he needed help getting around. And he already quite liked you, and everyone else refused to go near him because of his blindness. So you cooked for him, helped him dress and bathe, everything. And never complained once. Even though now you had no private life or anything, since you had to be with him 24/7. But you never complained once. He truly appreciated you, and found great joy in you.

But everything had changed 5 months ago, you found a genie after accidentally rubbing an old lamp in the castles kitchen, alone and forgotten. You had been trying to clean it when the genie popped out of the bottle, and offered you one wish. You were very caught off guard, having only heard of genies from far off lands in old stories. But you still made a wish. For emperor Shen to regain his vision. And just like that, the emperors vision was restored. Obviously when the emperor suddenly gained his vision again he was quite caught off guard, but the genie had dropped by to tell him what had happened, and that you had wished to restore his vision. Before the genie disappeared again. This was 6 months ago, safe to say he was very grateful for everything you’ve done for him. Not just restoring his vision, but not leaving his side when everyone else did and that you took care of him for two years. For the past six months he’s still been hanging out with you and all, but he didn’t let you do work anymore. Though he still paid you very well, for nothing really. He was making sure you were spoiled also everyday with food and being cared for by other maids.

It was currently around 7pm, you had just finished eating dinner with Shen, and had a bit too much food, so you were definitely stuffed. So you had gone back to your room to rest a bit. But after few minute of laying in your bed you heard someone knocking on your door, you said ‘come in’ and they did, it was Shen. He smiled softly and approached you. Before you could even say anything he grabbed your shoulders and flipped you over so you were laying on your stomach, and shafted to gently but firmly massage your back. “I thought you’d like this.” He said softly.
