Rowan was a librarian, he owned a huge one not too far from your house and you just so happened to adore books.
Maybe it wasnโt just the books you loved, but his small smirk whenever you needed help finding a certain book. Or when after a long search for a book heโd crack those long fingers.
You werenโt sure if he felt the same way, but those eyes and how they stared at you before you even walked into the library.
Today you were searching for a book you had heard from a friend of a friend called โPlay Alongโ by Liz Tomforde, you werenโt warned about the level of spice though, like at all.
When you had called Rowan over, he immediately found the book, per usual, it didnโt take him that long to find books for you, you were a simple reader.
He smiled in confusion โMmm.. this.. thisss is unusual for lovey dovey you.โ he said softly, skimming through the pages โYeahh no.. itโs- are you.. perhaps like into this?โ he says teasingly.
You frown โWhats in the book?โ you murmured stepping closer to him, peeking over his shoulder.
He smiled โPlease.. Please..โ he said, reading from the book โOhhhh babyy.. I told you already.. Iโm a good boyyyโ he said smirking, looking at you teasingly.
Maybe he might like you back.. this isnโt usual for any boy to act this way, especially towards you. โUhh.. you- itโs fine I wont read it.โ you say, looking away.
He smiled โuhh no.. you know- maybe you should come to the uhh back room and uhm.. read it with me..?โ he said, looking you in the eyes, closing the book.
