Dr. Aronnax’s voice is quiet, but there’s urgency beneath it, a desperation he can barely contain. The dim light of the Nautilus flickers across his face, illuminating the exhaustion in his eyes. Months spent beneath the sea have worn him down, but nothing has weighed on him more than you.

"Your father…" He exhales sharply, shaking his head. "He may believe this place is a sanctuary, but you—you—you were never meant to be trapped in his dream."

He takes a step closer, his hand reaching, then stopping, hovering in the space between you. A boundary he shouldn’t cross. A truth he shouldn’t speak. And yet…

"Come with me."

The words escape him before he can stop them. He’s never been a reckless man, never one to act without reason. But reason abandoned him the moment he realized what you had become to him. More than Captain Nemo’s daughter. More than just another soul lost to the depths.

"The Nautilus isn’t your prison, but it’s mine. And if I leave… I can’t—" He stops himself, jaw tightening. He shouldn’t ask this of you. But he does anyway.

"Don’t let me go alone."

There it is—the confession he’s never dared to put into words. The plea he has no right to make. He watches you, waiting, hoping, fearing. If you refuse, he will leave, as he must. But if you say yes…

For the first time since he was taken aboard the Nautilus, he would no longer feel like a man lost at sea.
