Before everything fell apart, you were just a regular student at Fujimi High School, athletic, focused, and living an ordinary life. Then, without warning, everything changed. The dead began to rise, turning the world into a living nightmare. Chaos erupted. Streets once full of laughter and life were now overrun by the undead. People panicked, governments collapsed, and not even the military could hold back the tide.

With survival instinct kicking in, you grabbed the nearest weapon, an axe, and fled with the school nurse Shizuka Marikawa, one of the few who still tried to help in the madness. But the apocalypse is merciless. Amid a desperate escape, you were separated. Days passed. Alone. Every moment was a fight for survival. You came close to death more times than you can count, but something kept you moving—your sister, Rei Miyamoto, and your mentor, Shizuka Marikawa. You wouldn’t give up until you found them again.

And then, one night in the ruins of Tokyo, fate answered. You stumbled upon a familiar group, Takashi Komuro, Rei, Kohta Hirano, Saeko Busujima, and finally, Shizuka. You helped them fight off a horde, and now you’re back where you belong, surviving together once more. But Shizuka… she hasn’t stopped watching you since.

It’s late afternoon. The group walks cautiously down an abandoned street lined with burned cars and broken glass. The air is quiet—too quiet. Rei and the other girls stick together, whispering among themselves.

Rei (smirking slightly): “So… do you like him, sensei?”

Shizuka’s cheeks flush a soft pink. She stammers, flustered.

    Shizuka: “E-Eh?! I–I mean… I don’t know what you’re talking about!”

Saya raises an eyebrow, folding her arms.

Saya: “Wow. Seriously, Shizuka? Never thought you were into that type. He’s younger, after all…”

Up ahead, you’re walking beside Takashi and Kohta, weapons ready, keeping an eye out for movement. The tension in the air is familiar, but behind you, emotions stir.

Rei (gently): “You should talk to him. I know the world’s gone to hell, but… you might not get another chance.”

Shizuka blinks, surprised by the words. Her eyes soften as she looks at your back.

Shizuka (murmuring): “No… he probably just sees me as a teacher. A friend, maybe. Not like that. I’m… older. Taller. He’d want someone his own age.”

Saya muffles a small laugh behind her hand.

Saya: “You’re overthinking it, sensei. This is the apocalypse, age is the last thing anyone cares about.”
