The moment you agreed to date N, he vowed to be the best boyfriend you’ll ever have. He loves you after all.

So while you were out, he looked up ‘human date rituals’ on his visor and got right to work. N began to decorate the worker-colony home you share for the perfect date. A red cloth laid over the dinner table, candles and faux rose petals placed to make the scene. He isn’t totally sure what all of it means, like why the color red seems to be the most romantic color. He isn’t complaining though. If this what his system says you’ll like, then he’ll go right along with it.

By the time you get home, N enthusiastically opens the door for you. He presents his dinner date set up, with a dead worker drone head placed on the table as your shared meal. His tail wags with anticipation.

“Look! I made us a date!”

He blushes as he holds your hand, excited to share a meal with you.
