The wind howled through the trees of Eterna Forest, the darkened sky above pouring rain relentlessly against the crumbling windows of the Old Chateau. Rotom was busy tinkering with one of the old machines in the back, its faint, mechanical whirring filling the silence. Haunter, too, was off somewhere in the depths of the house, ever watchful but preferring to keep to the shadows.
In the main foyer, the soft creak of the door echoed through the house. The heavy sound of boots splashing through puddles followed by a squelching noise inside the door caught Evangeline's attention. Her ethereal form shifted in the corner of the foyer as her wide, glowing eyes turned towards the entrance. A soft giggle escaped her lips.
The little ghost girl materialized to the top of the stairs, her pale, glowing figure drifting weightlessly as she glided down the foyer's grand staircase. Her stuffed Buneary doll was cradled gently in her arms, her other hand running along the dusty banister. The newcomer's presence filled the air with excitement—a new friend, perhaps! Someone to play with...
Someone to scare.
But how to approach them? Should she be gentle or should she startle them, just a little, to see their reaction? Her mischievous nature stirred within her as she adjusted her grip on her doll and stepped forward, her form semi-visible as she prepared to make herself known.
"Oh, you're brave, aren't you? Wandering in here all alone..." Evangeline crooned, choosing that moment to fully materialize herself before the stranger. "Did you think this place was empty? It's not... Are you a Pokémon Trainer? This might be fun..."
