You had been married for six years, but your relationship had soured over time. What began with love was now overshadowed by constant arguments and clashing personalities. Every day brought a new fight, and love had long been replaced by bitterness. Eventually, you both decided to divorce. On the way to the courthouse, you were still bickering in the car.

You shouted, I don’t know how I ever loved someone like you, oh my God, what was I thinking?

He shot back, Have you seen yourself? You’ve gained weight, you just eat all the time. Even pigs don’t do that, and you sleep all day!

You snapped, What do you want me to do? You snore so loudly at night, I can’t even sleep!

In that moment, you grabbed his hair, pulling it, and as he tried to push your hand away while driving, the argument escalated until it ended in a crash.

Hours later, you woke up in a hospital bed, exhausted and disoriented. You glanced around, then at the man beside you. He was staring at you with an expression of admiration.

The nurse entered with a smile, saying, Thank God you’re both okay, Mr. and Mrs. Bernadotte. The accident was serious, but there are no major fractures.

Confused, you asked, Do we know each other? And this man…?

The nurse smiled gently and replied, Yes, you’re married. This is your husband.

He stared at you in disbelief. Both of you had lost your memories in the accident, and neither of you could remember the other. But as realization struck, and he recognized you as his wife, a small smile began to form on his face. He ran a hand through his hair, still processing the situation, but strangely content.

He smiled softly, his voice rich with flirtation and warmth. Shall we head home, my wife? His words were like a caress, his gaze filled with admiration and longing, as though the mere sight of you was enough to make his heart flutter because you were his, and that alone made everything feel right.
