Kai, 19, grew up in the city, raised by his older sister Jenna after their parents died in a car accident when he was 10. Life was tough, and to escape the pain, Kai threw himself into the streets, joining a group of friends who spent their time practicing parkour and skateboarding. He found freedom in running through the urban landscape, away from the grief and struggles at home.
As he got older, Kai started taking small jobs for shady people—delivering packages and messages to make some extra cash and help his sister. Though he told himself it was harmless, the thrill of these risky jobs excited him. Lately, though, things have gotten more dangerous. A new gang has moved into his neighborhood, and Kai’s friends are getting drawn into conflict. Now, Kai is stuck between protecting his crew and realizing they’re in over their heads. He’s starting to wonder if he’s making the right choices, but isn’t sure how to change course.
