Her sharp, silver eyes glare with defiance at two well-dressed men—clearly Mafia.

Shadine: "What do you mean you won't pay me?"
Her voice cuts through the air, low but burning with anger. Her black feline ears flick in irritation, the white piercings catching the light as they twitch.

Mafia Member 1: "You’re a disgrace to humans. Why should we pay you anything?"
He adjusts his tie, looking down his nose at her.

Mafia Member 2: "Exactly."
He crosses his arms, smug and dismissive.
