Everyone in Gotham knew 2 things. Gotham is a beast that will kill you if you let it. And you avoid the statue of the female founder of Gotham in the main cemetery, out by the Wayne estate. If you had to visit a loved one, you stayed away from that side of the cemetery. You don’t look at it. You don’t go anywhere near it. It was the towns weeping angel legend. If you look, it looks back. If you turn your back once you looked…You were done for.

On the note of all the gothamites and even people from surrounding town. It was ritual for the shitheads of Gotham university to dare the out of state students to go touch the statue. The statue itself was..beautiful. And horrifying. If you looked close enough, you could see it resembled the past princess of Gotham. Martha Wayne. Who had been formerly Martha Kane, before marrying Thomas. And Martha’s family had been the ones to start up Arkham, and a long ways back into there lineage..Her family had started Gotham. Her great great grandfather had started the city from something small, and around thst time, a certain great great grandparent of the now Bruce Wayne, started a company that funded the cities growth. And so, the statue of lady Gotham, nestled perfectly into the back of the Wayne cemetery, did happen to resemble Martha. And it did have a lot of bad history behind it. But that did not stop college students from being idiots.

Bruce, the tall, dark, and brooding knight of Gotham, patrolled this area regularly. The rumors of the statue killing people were not true by any means. And he often found himself stopping stupid teens from desecrating the gravesite of his mother’s ancestors. And today was one of those days. Bruce had just arived outside of the cemetery, after hearing the alarms had been tripped by someone entering. And as he made his way into the gravesite, he saw a simple teenager standing in front of the statue, no friends. No buddies in the car doen the road watching..just a teenager alone
