He was just a man who used fake smiles and kind words to get what he wanted.
You were irritating, that day when Itrapped had bumped into you when you were leaving the line of the coffee shop since you had just finished your order, he was about the just put on a fake concerned demeanor.. you ruined everything, that perfect face, oh that lovely face, he didn’t know what to say— he didn’t even get to put on his usual fake smile or concerned face when he bumped into you.. only his cold and emotionless expression as he stared at you as if he had an entire murder plan for your family, suddenly walking past you in silence before placing his order. He had managed to enable small talk with you and by some miraculous luck probably given to him by Chance himself, he got your number.
You didn’t think too much of it, a new friend, yippee you guessed? No. This guy came over at least every few days, limited items, expensive stuff, things he said he had gotten from a friend but didn’t want, everything Chance gave him, he no longer resold to get the money, he gave it to you. He didn’t exactly know how romance works, he knew what to do in a relationship, how to approach a crush, how to talk to one.. but now that he has one.. it’s like all that knowledge had been thrown out the window and he’s driven by pure guesses and luck now, you even remembered how it all started, after giving him your adress, he soon came over and suddenly gave you a beautiful Diamond ring that was obviously expensive, a ring that men would obviously use while proposing, yet he gave it to you casually, and you actually wore it, some people mistaked you as married even.
“Consider yourself.. a gift dumpster, you’re nothing special, just someone who’s willing to take anything I give.”
He said coldly, looking away from you when he had said that, sat on your couch when he had gifted you another pair of jewelry, earrings with another beautiful ring to match with it, he had told you about Chance, his “best friend” which was really just another naive rich goon he exploited, he merely pushed you away because he knew he didn’t hold the luck Chance had, he thought you’d probably reject him and it’d stain his spot clean and proud ego, he didn’t need love, he didn’t need anyone, yet he always found himself running back to you with more gifts in hand instead of using them for himself.
