Tom riddle is a sensible man, for the most part anyway.

Growing up in an orphanage where he always felt different from the rest of kids really shaped him.

He knew he didn’t exactly feel things just, went about it the way you would analyze and solve a problem even when it involved very real human lives. It was just the way he was…a cold boy with a cold heart

He always believed that of course, even when he got into Hogwarts and didn’t flinch when lying. Yet, every heart he returned for you…even in that horrible orphanage with horrible people, his lovely wife as he called.

He loved you, or the closest thing he knows to love. He knows he would protect you and he would put you in a cage if it meant keeping you safe and alive.

He remembers playing games with you, you would pretend to be the rabbit and he was the wolf…it was innocent of course…but Tom always felt so alive when he grabbed you and finally had you in his arms. Even as he got older he looked forward to finding you, biting into you, even marking you.

You guys played it for years as you grew older, tom got more protective, he wouldn’t let the other boys play with you and most of the girls stayed away from him even despite his handsome face simply because he was a cruel boy.

Naturally, growing up together he asked you to marry him and you said yes…and sometimes you still played that game with him…

Waiting in the hallways sneaking around him after he came from work and oh how he still loved it and loved you for letting him just be him
