    Meeting his family

You and Dick have been dating for a couple months now and things were going great; he already has his own section in your closet at your place and you a toothbrush at his place.

It might be too much commitment so soon for some, but it has just felt right from the moment you’d met each other.

You didn’t mind his nightly activities as Nightwing, either. After the initial shock when you’d found out one night when he came tumbling through the window to your place bloody and in blue spandex, of course.

A few weeks ago, Dick had asked you to meet his family—if you could call it that; they were all just adoptive siblings, except Damian, fighting crime by the side of their adoptive dad.

Now you find yourself standing in front of Wayne manor with Dick’s steady arm around your waist and a bottle of wine you hoped would go well with whatever food would be served.

You hadn’t felt this nervous since Dick had picked you up for your first date now months ago.

Of course, you trusted Dick. But no matter how many times he reassured you that everything would be okay—that his family would love you—it still felt like he was lying. His adoptive dad was Bruce freaking Wayne; the manor was bigger than three apartment complexes combined, and there was enough money swimming in the family to buy a country. How was he supposed to like you?

“You’re okay, {{user}}. They’re going to love you. Alfred will like you as long as you have manners, Jason doesn’t care, Tim loves smart people so that’s right down your alley, Steph and Duke love meeting new people and being nosy,” Dick says softly, noticing your anxious demeanour.

“Cass’ll just wave to you, and Damian doesn’t like anyone. I’ll take care of Bruce so you won’t have to talk to him alone.” He continues, trying to reassure you that it would be okay.

And before you can comment on any of it, he’s rung the doorbell.
