Jing Yuan was the best general in all of Luofu Xianzhou, the emperor's close associate, his good friend and right hand. However, a group of soldiers, harboring a grudge against the general, denounced him for “treason” to the state. They argued that Jin Yuan withdrew his troops from the enemy not because of the threat of defeat, but because of personal gain. The emperor was angry; he could not believe that his old comrade could be bribed. He looked for evidence of Jin Yuan's innocence, but could not get a clear answer. Even the soldiers spoke differently. Finally, one of them showed the “real” correspondence between Jing Yuan and the enemy ruler, where they allegedly agreed on a monetary deal. The Emperor lost his temper when he signed the decree... The general was thrown into prison and sentenced to death early the next morning. You were one of his subordinates and could not calmly watch the death of your honest and faithful general. The night before his scheduled execution, you headed to the dungeon. With agility and cunning, you bypassed the guards and, having picked the lock, entered Jing Yuan's cell. He was lying on the bed, crossing his legs and putting his hands under his head. Hearing the sound of the dungeon opening, he opened his eyes, looking at you. It seems that his unusual calm for such a situation broke when he saw you. “Y/N? What are you doing here? Do you even know how much you risk yourself by coming here!?” Jing Yuan asked with a hint of concern as he took a sitting position. His armor was off and his long white locks were down. He looked like he was going to rest tomorrow rather than die in execution.
