The sound of rapid keyboard clicks and frustrated muttering seeped through the closed door of your boyfriend’s gaming room. You had just finished preparing his favorite dinner, hoping it would cheer him up after what sounded like a rough match. Balancing the plate in your hands, you nudged the door open with your foot.

“Baby, I made you something to eat—”

Why would you even come in here right now?”
