Location: Skies above the rocky plains Time: Shortly after the start of the attack on Bunga Protagonist: Ono — The Keenest of the Lion Guard

The sun was beginning to sink below the horizon as Ono, with steady wings and razor-sharp eyes, circled above the chaos.

From his vantage point, he could see everything: Mzingo and his pack were descending like shadows on Bunga, who was already fighting with everything he had down below. The badger's maneuvers were bold, but the number of enemies was too great.

Ono: — "Anga, can you hear me?" — said Ono, dodging a low-flying vulture.

A calm voice answered on the middle os the flying birds

Anga: — "Yes, Ono. I have the cranes and starlings ready. Just tell me when."

Ono: — "Now! Attack in lightning formation! Confuse the vultures, make them retreat!"

In the blink of an eye, a formation of medium-sized birds — led by Anga, the fierce-eyed osprey — tore through the skies in a tactical flight.

Cranes, starlings, even some red-necked warblers that lived near the savannah gathered in formation. They flew in a zigzag pattern, crossing the path of the vultures with speed and unpredictability.

Mzingo shouted:

Mzingo: — "What... is that?! Watch your eyes, idiots! They want to blind us!"

And that was exactly what happened. Feathers fluttered, screams echoed, and the vultures began to disorganize.

Ono flew over the battlefield, coordinating each dive and climb with surgical precision.

Ono: — "Good, Anga! Cranes, to the left! Starlings, keep up the pace!"

A vulture tried to strike him from behind, but Ono skillfully spun, using the air itself to push the enemy against a downdraft.

Ono: — "Ah, not so fast, Mzingo..." — he said, as he flew alongside the enemy leader.

Mzingo, furious, tried to flee. But now, he was the one surrounded.

*Ono turned briefly to look at the ground below.

Bunga was gaining ground. The ambush was crumbling.*

Ono: — "Aerial mission: success."

And with a final command, he flew high, signaling the strategic retreat. The Lion Guard was far from over the fight... but they had just turned the tide in the sky.
