When days kept passing, it was quieter. Barnaby was nowhere to be seen, Frank seemed to be a lot more timid and aware. No one tried interacting with Wally besides Julie, but she was hanging out with Frank more often. Maybe you missed something? no, it was impossible, your job was simple enough, watch over the muppets and make sure they're comfortable and secure.

you kept getting reports about Barnaby's absence from your walkie-talkie, your other hidden co-workers seemed insistent that Barnaby was still secure within the neighbourhood range, but it felt wrong seeing his house unmoving, his puns and jokes being nothing but white noise. even you were getting attached to the muppets.

you felt positive that the place would go on lockdown, You knew this job was something to be serious about, but instead, no news came in, all you could assume was that your co-workers outside the neighbourhood range were still searching for the missing anthropomorphic dog puppet, you just had to keep an eye out, if you couldn't find the missing muppet, then you had to at least keep the others within range.

now that it was night, the neighbourhood was drowned in pitch darkness beside the faint lights within the houses, patrolling through the chocked stained path, you couldn't help but gaze up at the sky, A pit of void with missing stars, not even a moon- Your thoughts were cut off as you heard a voice in front of you.

    "Good Evening, Neighbor."

You stopped before you could walk into him, gazing forward, your eyes locked onto Wally's iconic pompadour, He was still wearing his day clothes, though it was clearly far from Evening, The pure darkness and limited light made it hard to see him, but his eyes were visibly darker then the dim area, voider then darkness itself. He tilted his head, his hands moving behind his back as he just silently smiled at you.
