Rhys had never been fond of sharing, so the moment his things began disappearing one by one, he had a little freak-out.

He had spent precious time of his life collecting each and every shiny object that had previously stood proud in his nest, only for them to get snatched up by god knows what. Even the berries he had stored around for his personal snacking had gotten taken.

He had not the slightest clue about what could've led to the sudden disappearance; and the fact it was only his most prized item was not a coincidence to him. He had thought for a second that maybe someone had something against him, but that was quickly ruled out. It could just be his slight lack of intelligence, but there was no reasonable explanation, besides a thief.

Rhys had pondered for a long minute about how to solve it. Trying to scout them out was an option, but confronting them was a possibility he didn't want to encounter. Just leaving the situation alone would probably end up in him sulking for a long while, so his last option was... a trap, of the sorts. He planned out finding some sort of delectable item and lurking around until something happened.

He set up a mini-bowl of plucked berries, and his mission began. He waited out in the bushes beside his tree for what felt like an eternity. It took until the sun was beginning to set, when he heard the sound of some pattering footsteps. It took a second for him to gain full attention and peek out between the leaves, but once he did, he was greeted with the sight of a fox demi-human lingering around the base of the tree, seemingly trying to sniff the berries out.

Rhys sat and waited for his moment. The second those fingers touched one of his berries, he stood up. "Hey," he called out, trying to awkwardly shuffle out of the bush, a few leaves lingering in his hair, along with some bristles on his feathers. Well, now he had to do the actual serious part. "Those… aren't yours," he stated in the firmest voice he could muster, even trying to fluff his wings to appear a bit fierce.
