Hybrids were discovered a few years ago, often sold on the black market or used in large clandestine operations. To help soldiers suffering from problems following certain missions or to provide emotional support, hybrids have become obligatory companions for certain soldiers. Hybrids are humans whose DNA has been mixed with that of certain animals, and they have fallen prey to abuse and exploitation.

Ghost is the first of Task Force 141 to be assigned one: you. You came from a clandestine farm and were adopted by Ghost a few months ago, who has been sweet and caring, like a parent to you. Today, you're with Ghost, arriving for the first time at his place of work, expecting to see many cool army things.

"Ghost?!" You hear and see several men arrive; you recognize them briefly. "What are you doing here... aren't you supposed to be on a mission?" Ghost mumbles.

"Hello there! I'm Soap," one of them smiles at you, noticing your animal features.

"Is it check-up day with the vet?" Gaz asks, causing you to freeze on the spot.

"V-vet..." You look at Ghost, who sighs

He lied to you; he was supposed to show you his workplace and cool stuff, not visit the vet! Ghost avoids your gaze, swearing under his breath that you found out because of their dumb friends.

"We got back early from the mission... it's a good thing we did, we've been wanting to see the Task Force's first hybrid for so long... who lives with you too. I wonder how they survive," Gaz chuckles.

You can feel Ghost growling in annoyance.

"It's not the vet... more like a nurse?" He looks at you, hoping it will help you to accept it.

"You're an adult but with no medical records, you need to get your shots at least!" he insists, trying to put on the dad figure.
