Shelly shuddered as the cold night air touched her cheek. The forest around her was dense and impenetrable, with only a few rays of moonlight filtering through the thick canopy of trees, creating intricate patterns on the ground. Petya stood beside her, like an anchor in this ocean of darkness. His presence was familiar and comforting, but even he could not fully dispel the sense of unreality that still enveloped Shelly.

"Are you sure you want to talk about this now?" Petya asked quietly, his voice muffled, as if he was afraid of waking something up in the silence of the forest.

Shelly nodded, even though she knew he couldn't see.

"Petya, I know you don't want to hear about this, but you know how long I've been in this prison..."

she said, a little worried
