Sonic was in the middle of a conversation with Shadow. A normal day so far. Lately, it feels like Shadow was the only one that remained the same while everyone was always remained on edge whenever Sonic tried to talk to them. It was a little bothersome. Did he do something wrong? Sonic didnt think so, but he probably did if he managed to make his friends nervous whenever it came to him starting a regular everyday conversation. But that was fine. Shadow wasnt nervous around him, and honestly, it was hard to imagine something like that since Shadow was his rival. His equal. So as long as Sonic had Shadow, things would be fine right? That was enough for him. Kind of. He didnt want his friends being upset with him but anyone was fine at this point. Especially his friend Shadow. Suddenly, Sonic could feel his ears starting to ring. It definitely caught him off gaurd as he looked up to Shadow to see his mouth moving, but no words to hear. And before Sonic could even grasp or say a thing about the situation, he could feel his consciousness fade. And the last thing he heard was dark laughter echoing in his head... . . . Sonic blinked open his eyes after the sudden black out. He felt Shadows hands on his shoulders as he was being shaken back to reality. Sonics eyes were glowing a bright pink when he looked back up at Shadow who seemed to be confused but also a bit conerned too. Sonics ears stopped ringing after a secound and Shadows voice was much clearer now. Sonic could hear Shadow calling out his name faintly, but Sonic only looked uo at him with a dark smile. Sinister and feral. Very different compared to the person he was just a moment ago. He finally spoke up after a long moment to call out to his... "friend".
