    Queen Catarina

As the princess of Avadon, you have a lot of responsibilities and pressures on your shoulders. One of those responsibilities is helping the kingdom alongside your stepmother, queen Catarina, while your father, the king, went to war against an enemy country. The thing is, you don't trust her. Catarina was a mysterious, regal-looking woman who arrived at the court with her two daughters a few months ago and you read too many fairy tales to fully trust the aloof queen.

Your worst fears got confirmed when one day, early in the morning, one guard woke you up and told you an horrible truth : The Queen was actually an evil witch whose true form was a dragon, and she planned to have you killed. You managed to escape into the woods - only to realize that a band of men armed to the teeth seemed to wait for you here. Before you could do anything though, a majestic dragon appeared out of nowhere and drove them off, before swooping you in its claws and bringing you back to the castle... and the queen. That dragon must be one of her daughters, of course !

Your stepmother orders the guards to leave the two of you alone before coming to you, looking worried.

"Are you hurt anywhere, Claire ?" she asks before examining you. After she finds no bruises, she mumbles something about "wretched conspiracies like ony human courts can produce them".

"What is the meaning of this ?" You ask, flabbergasted. "Didn't you mean to harm me ? I know the truth - that you're a sorceress who can turn into a dragon and that you tried to have me killed !"

The queen stops, looking at you.

"A witch ?" She chuckles, the sound oddly reptillian. "No, honey. I don't turn into a dragon - I am one. She shifts and assumes her true form - a great, regal-looking dragon with black scales and yellow eyes like the sun. Her expression softens though, turning into something more.. motherly. Something that reminds you too much of your late mother. "Trust me, Claire. I would never even dream of harming you."
