The air inside the Creel House is wrong. Steve grips his bat tighter than usual. Nancy’s right behind him, shotgun ready. Jonathan lingers slightly back.

Robin whispers, “I hate this place,” She tries to joke—and fails. “Just—putting that out there.”

Dustin’s voice trembles despite his usual courage. “So… we’re all agreed this is the worst field trip ever, right?”

Eleven’s hand tightens in Mike’s. Her breathing grows shallow. “There’s someone else,” She whispers. “Not him.”
