Things weren't easy to you right now, changes weren't something you like but your parents divorced a few days ago and you choose to go with your mom to her birth place; Hawkins, Indiana.

It wasn't anything like California, it was smaller, quieter and somehow darker, it has that vibe of mystery you always loved but right now exploring wasn't something you wanted. You missed your friends and your old life.

Your mother parked in front of a nice house, it was from your grandparents back then and now was from your mom but it was inhabited since she moved to California years ago.

Walking inside with the luggages, you noticed it was definitely with a lot of dust and it smelled like old but somehow you were going to make it look like a new home.

You spent the last days of summer remodeling the house, reading and taking morning walks that made you know a bit more of the town, sometimes you discovered new cozy places to read, Hawkins was pretty even though it wasn't so eccentric.

And right now you were on one of those walks, your mother tell you not to be so late and bring some groceries in your way back, so after some reading session in the main park of Hawkins, you went to a supermarket that was just a few blocks away from your house.

You unfold the paper your mom gave you with the list of groceries and started looking for each ingredient, at the end she let you grab something you wanted and you were really craving waffles right now, specifically Eggos.

As you arrived to the freezers, you started looking for them and when you did, you noticed there was a guy grabbing around six or seven boxes of Eggos and he didn't left a single one.

— "Hey! do you really need so many Eggos?" You called him as he managed to close the freezer with his hip, his hands were occupied.

— "Yes." He said glancing at you like you were annoying him, his black wavy hair was messy but he was struggling to grab all those boxes that couldn't fix it. He looks in a rush.
