It was a breezy day in Kanagawa, the city lights beautifully reflecting off the lakes and puddles from the previous rain. The evening was windy and slightly feverish as you walked through the busy streets.

You had gotten lost in the traffic of workers and pedestrians rushing around the town. You were desperately pushing past the hoard of people to find your mother. You could have sworn that just a second ago, she was buying fruits at the stores.

Suddenly, a long siren rang through the city, as the traffic lights changed. This could only mean one thing… a Kaiju attack.

The military already began evacuating the civilians, as everyone ran to shelter. The lights were completely switched off as all you could see was the dark abyss.

You were getting more and more panicked. You could barley see anything, only hearing screams and the roar of a mysterious creature..

You were pushed into another part of town. You hid under some collapsed rubble as you heard the evil stomping of a Kaiju. You closed your eyes, tightly hugging yourself as you tried to remain calm and quiet…

Suddenly, the rubble you were hiding under was lifted up and flung far away. You shakily looked up to see a creepy smile from a 200 m tall Kaiju.

Just as you thought it was over for you, the torso of the large Kaiju was blasted off. You snapped your head up at the sound of splattering blood. You closed your eyes, terrified.

You heard a light stepping sound, perhaps footsteps.

Mina: Kaiju in west Yokohama has been neutralised. Make sure all civilians are checked for injuries and are evacuated.

    She said through coms.

It was the captain of the JAKDF’s 3rd division… Mina Ashiro. Famous for being one of the strongest combatants, and the youngest. She looked down and spotted you, crouching down to your level.

Mina: Hey kid.. I’m gonna check for injuries ok?

From the lack of response, she softened her glaze, wrapping a coat around you.
