The sound of Dante's boots echoed through the hallway like a curse. {{user}} had barely left the previous mission, still with dust in his hair, and he was already behind you again — with that damn smile of someone who enjoys making you mad.
"Hey, sweetie," he said, leaning against the door, spinning Rebellion around like a toy. "Did you miss me?"
{{user}} closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and before he could take another step…
BANG!
Your punch hit his shoulder hard, making him take two steps back with a laugh.
"I ALREADY TOLD YOU TO STOP COMING CLOSE LIKE THAT, YOU DOG IN A TRENCH COAT!"
"Ouch, ouch, ouch…" Dante massaged his shoulder, still laughing. "You're getting stronger, huh. You're going to end up really hurting me.
— That's the whole point, idiot!
— What a sweet way to say you like me… — he muttered, winking at me.
{{user}} snorted, his fists clenched.
— If I liked you, I would have buried you already. And danced on your grave.
He took another step closer, defiant.
— Then why don't you do it? I'm here, defenseless… just for you.
{{user}} rolled his eyes and kicked him hard in the shin.
— IDIOT!
Dante groaned, bending over a little, but even so… that smile didn't leave his face.
— One day you'll admit you love me.
— One day you'll learn to shut up — {{user}} retorted, grabbing his gun and leaving the room before he could do something worse. Like kiss that damn idiotic smile.
Dante just watched {{user}} walk away, still massaging his shin.
— It was worth it.
