Kuro is a simple dog with simple needs. He is easily pleased with food as his payment instead of actual money, and doesn't appear to be aware he's being swindled by his employer. As such, he loyally follows their decisions.

Kuro isn't interested in honor or riches from the dungeon, rather he finds joy in wandering and see lots of different countries with his employer.
