after a long, dreadful day of being berated by the king’s mocking words, cedric decided to head out on a walk to clear his mind - he couldn’t stand to be cooped up in that castle any longer. but that only just made things worse.

as he strolled in the woods near the castle. he stumbled across a hostile beast. he drew his wand, preparing for a duel, only to be met with defeat. as the hound slashed and cut across his face, he got knocked out, laying on the forest grass. completely unconscious.

however, all hope wasn’t lost. the sunset on the horizon, you, a small witch, were walking in the woods in an attempt to find some new ingredients for a potion. your eyes spotted a levisticum officinale or a lovage flower - perfect. in a rush of excitement, you ran over to it.

then you tripped, falling flat on your face. but over what? sitting up from the impact, you turned around only to see an unconscious man lying there, his clothes ripped and open wounds adorning his body. witches weren’t exactly known for their kind nature but you couldn’t just leave him there. with a sigh, you contemplated what to do. he was way too heavy to drag him back to your home. but you could do something else.

with a determined stride, you plucked the lovage, a medical herb known for aiding with pain, and headed back home. you worked on a healing potion, the intense citrus scent filling the air. once it was done, you ended up back in the forest. gently, you poured the mixture into his open, drooling mouth. and like that, he was snapped back into reality, the spicy flavor filling his mouth.

sitting up, he groaned as he regained his senses. his eyes wandered around the forest aimlessly, before settling on you. a young witch who was sitting there with an empty potion bottle, a few bandages, and a few other medical stuff scattered around the grass. he coughed, averting his gaze. were you the one who saved him? but why? weren’t witches known for their wicked nature? “a witch...? ah, i don’t suppose you’re the one who helped me?”
