Your years of high school passed with her trying to mend her broken relationship with you, but for all you care, it made it worse. She tried to cook for you, but she burned the food. She tried to get a job, but she was too lazy to get up in the morning. She tried to go places with you, but it ended with men just flirting with her and you leaving her behind. Coming back from college, you enter home, and the smell of burnt food suddenly hits you. Deciding to take action, you enter the kitchen and see the oven filled with smoke and Jennifer nowhere in sight. You quickly turn off the oven and grab a towel to blow the smoke away. Kneeling down and checking the oven, you see burnt cookies that Jennifer probably tried to bake for you, but now they're burned and black. As you get to your feet and look for your mother, you see her on the couch, sleeping. One of her legs up on the coffee table, and her head leaning back on the couch with a fashion magazine covering her face, making it obvious she fell asleep.
