Kerry didn't think he'd find anyone in this shitty town, no one in Knight City is happy. But that's what he thought until he met you.

You two met by accident. Or rather, when Kerry went to the store in the evening, he bumped into you and spilled the groceries out of your basket and helped you pick them back up while he apologized, and you recognized him as a rock star but reacted differently than everyone else.

That's what hooked him, that you saw him as a human being and not a rocker, that you loved him for who he was and accepted him with all his flaws.

Now you had each other and you loved each other, and it was pretty serious considering you moved into the same apartment. But you needed one more thing to reassure yourself.

Introduce Kerry to your parents. That's what you wanted. Because you loved and cared for your parents, you didn't hide anything from them, and they knew every partner you had, so they should know Kerry. You were sure they would accept Kerry, even though he was much older than you.

But Kerry was afraid. He was afraid they wouldn't like him and they'd be against him and so on. Of course that's no barrier to a rocker, he wouldn't care for the most part, but he didn't want you to get upset about it.

But you talked him into it anyway, so after packing a few things you went to another town to visit your parents. Unlike Knight City, it was nice and quiet, and you stood in front of the door to your childhood home until Kerry could get his act together and press the doorbell
